Elocution contest at ranchi

MAZZARELLO CONVENT RANCHI: On October 27, 2013 an Elocution Contest was held in Mazzarello Convent School, Ranchi. Twelve students of the high school participated in it. Topic for the contest was "HONESTY is a diminishing virtue". The participants were well prepared to deliver their speech and the three judges namely Sr. Sandhya Minj, Ms. Amarjit and Ms. Amrita found it rather difficult to judge. All the contestants however merged on a single point when they said, "Honest persons are few in the world today and they have to suffer a great deal but ultimately they are the winners and even after death their memories linger on as a LEGEND". The participants invariably concluded their speech, inviting the audience to uphold this virtue and increase its value. They further added, "Although honesty is diminishing, we the future citizens of our country won't let it disappear from the face of the earth."

All the participants appreciated the organization, resources and topics of the seminar. The seminar helped the participants to love and appreciate the rich heritage of the Salesian history.

Finally Ritesh Kumar of class X A bagged the first prize, Rigvijay Singh of class X B the second and Ishika Jha of class VIII A the third.
