5 August 2026 was a day of great joy and celebration at the Sacred Heart Novitiate, Ranchi, as three Sisters, Sr. Anisha Baxla, Sr. Jebita Hansda, and Sr. Monica Shylla made their First Profession as Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
Dressed in white as a sign of their consecration to God, the novices to be professed entered the Mazzarello Auditorium in a graceful procession accompanied by their Novice Mistress, Sr. Lily D’Souza, and their parents. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by His Grace Archbishop Vincent Aind of Ranchi and was concelebrated by twelve priests. The auditorium was beautifully decorated. The community sisters, sisters’ family members, priests, and well-wishers gathered to witness this significant moment of consecration.
In his homily, the Archbishop reflected on God’s faithfulness and the beauty of responding generously to His call. His words encouraged the newly professed Sisters to live their vocation with gratitude, fidelity, and renewed commitment. During the celebration, the three Novices pronounced their religious vows in the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
Sr. LeelammaPalliparambil, the Delegate of the Superior General, Mother Chiara Cazzuola, formally welcomed the newly professed Sisters into the Institute with an embrace and a garland, amidst the joyful applause of the assembly. In thanksgiving, the three Sisters expressed their joy through song and dance with the hymn, “Lord, You Loved Me Before I Loved You.”
The celebration concluded with a felicitation programme and a festive meal shared by the families, guests, and communities. The occasion was a memorable expression of faith, gratitude, family communion, and hope, as the three newly professed Sisters began their journey of consecrated life with renewed dedication to God and the mission of the Institute.
