Young Sisters Meet


DUM DUM: For the 2nd time the young sister's meet was held in Auxilium Provincial House, Dum Dum from 15 to 19 November 2023. Vibrant 26 young sisters were extended a warm welcome by sisters of the provincial house. The meeting commenced with an introductory talk by Sr. LeelammaPalliparambil, the Provincial invoking the Holy Spirit. She then proceeded with articles 37 and 38 of the Constitutionsbased on “our prayer’, and article 63, which highlighted our mission. She emphasized strengthening our prayer life, community living and mission. After an hour, Sr. Rose Kureekattu the vice provincial touched on the articles on Preventive System inviting us to be like Mary and follow the characteristics ofthe Good Shepherd, in order to give Christ to others. Every good night of the provincial enriched the young sisters and made them more responsible in their personal growth and community living.
On 16-17 November Fr. Ramesh Cherian SDB and Deacon Tushar Gomes led the sisters to experience the tangible and healing power of Christ through the theological explanation of the three letters of St. John followed by Eucharistic adoration.
Fr. Sunil Kerketta SDB the vice provincial of Kolkata province imparted to us the concrete way of living the spirituality of the Preventive System in our day-to-day life. On the following day, he also emphasized the celibate journey of integrating affectivity and sexuality.
On the 19th November, the day concluded with beats chords and melody.The Choirmaster directed the pitch and the vocals, thrilled with voices that bubbled the hearts with joy. To sound the music angelic, Fr. I.C Jacob SDB, the resource person of the day, put his hands together to sound the music angelic and taught them how to create a heavenly atmosphere in the chapel. Listening to it, sisters were amazed and that encouraged themto be more attuned to the voice of the Lord. Each session was unique withdeep insights and filled with rich Salesian spirituality. All the participants were enriched by the session and they expressed their gratitude to Provincial Sr. Leelamma Palliparambil for organizing such an enriching seminar.
