It was an endeavor on the part of our school to reach out to the new parents and take the ‘first step’ towards working in collaboration with them. The parents came to know about the way our school ‘nurtures’ kids and imparts holistic education. With Fr. Alphonso Francis as the Chief guest, the session was ‘simple yet profound. The session centered around the role of parents in the life of a child as a care- giver. He emphasized on the point that good parenting in the need of the hour. This session also dealt with the point that “a baby is born with a need to be loved and never out grows it”. Fr. Alphonso Francis made the session lively and vibrant with the practical examples that he cited. With the innumerable adverse situations that a child faces today, it is a must that the parents and teachers develop a ‘Positive attitude’ in them. So that they may face the adversities and emerge successful. Ms.Louisa spoke about the expectations of a teacher from the children. Our Principal, Sr.Clara Saminathan took up the second half of the session where she acquainted the parents with the rules and regulations of our school. She also spoke about the outstanding performance of our school in academics as well as in co- curricular activities. This orientation session proved to be a success with the active participation of everyone who took part in it and it was agreed unanimously that both the school and the parents were the key factors in a child’s development.
