Christmas Celebration - Auxilium School Dum Dum

DUM DUM: On 20 December 2017, Auxilium Convent Dum Dum celebrated Christmas. It started with carol singing competition between the students of classes VI & VII and VIII & IX. The programme started with welcoming the judges Sr.Emilia Vas, Sr.Luciana Rai and Mr.Vicky.

The four houses with their melodious singing astounded the gathering with their meaningful carols. It was followed by the Christmas play showcased by class IX & XI. The plays gave an insight about the life of Mary and Joseph and the glorious birth of Jesus.

The students of the Primary section celebrated the Christmas in a wonderful way by enacting the Nativity of the Lord. Each class explained to the audience the meaning of Christmas in a different and creative manner.

Students were enlightened by the concluding words of Superior Sr. Teresa A. and Principal Sr. Esther. Sr. Superior highlighted the important elements of Christmas peace, joy and love. She encouraged the students to share their gifts with one another. Sr. Esther said that the spirit of Christmas doesn’t merely consist in celebrations; rather it lies in spreading love and joy to the world. The celebration ended on a happy note as the students enjoyed the programme and felt the spirit of Christmas.
